OSF HealthCare is seeking an OB Technician to support patient care in the hospital under RN supervision. Responsibilities include direct patient/family contact, scrubbing duties for cesarean deliveries, and assisting with vaginal deliveries as needed across the life span.
Requirements include High school diploma or equivalent, Certified Nursing Assistant with BLS, and knowledge of medical terminology. Preference is given to candidates with 1 year of direct patient care experience in healthcare.

Expected pay for this position is $19.13 - $22.60/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Must be able to work for 12 weeks full-time orientation during dayshift Monday- Friday
The OB Technician performs any combination of the following duties in the care of patients in the hospital, under direction of a Registered Nurse. Provides care for patients and family/significant others across the life span based on physical, psycho-social, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of patients served in the patient care unit. Responsibilities will include direct patient/family contact, departmental duties, material management, communication and departmental housekeeping. Follows and understands the standards and recommended practices according to department standards. The OB Technician is responsible for scrub duties assigned for cesarean section deliveries as well as occasional vaginal deliveries.
