Job summary

Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO is seeking an Obstetrical Technician (OB Tech) to support Labor & Delivery, NICU, and Mother/Baby units. Under RN supervision, the OB Tech provides patient care, equipment readiness, and procedural support, including potential scrub duties for Cesarean sections.

The role emphasizes safety, unit readiness, and regulatory compliance in a high-acuity setting. On-call responsiveness and flexibility across assignments are expected to meet patient care

Qualifications

• Surgical tech certification within 6 months or active progression.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / GPN upon hire.
• Approved by Perioperative services for scrub role as CNA.

Responsibilities

• Functions within scope of practice based on certification/licensure.
• Works under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Adjusts daily responsibilities based on unit acuity and shift plan.
• Maintains readiness to pivot across service areas as needed.
• Participates in L&D/NICU and/or Mother/Baby structure and assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
