Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital - West Valley is seeking an OB Tech to support Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum units. You will assist with daily operations, monitor vitals, and provide basic patient care for antepartum, postpartum, and newborns.

Responsibilities include assisting with vaginal deliveries under RN/provider direction, acting as a Scrub Tech for surgeries, and maintaining unit supplies. Requires one year of patient care experience and a Surgical Tech program completion; BLS

Qualifications

• One-year patient care experience preferred, i.e. OB Tech, LPN/LVN, EMT, CNA.
• Medical Assistant or Surgical Tech experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; basic computer skills.
• High School graduate or GED.
• Completion of a Surgical Tech program, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice.
• Functions as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures.
• Maintains supplies and equipment on the unit.
• Assists with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment.
• Performs clerical and business support tasks as assigned.
