Job summary

Prime Healthcare is looking for an OB Technician at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI. This position involves patient care and clerical tasks in the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) unit. Ideal candidates will prepare sterile supplies and assist during delivery while ensuring a safe environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma, current nursing assistant certification, and BLS certification within 30 days. Experience as a Certified Surgical Scrub Technician is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: BLS certification needed within 30 days.
• Nursing Assistant: Must have current certification.
• Preferred: Certified Surgical Scrub Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Prepare and maintain sterile supplies and instruments.
• Support maternal and newborn care during labor and delivery.
• Complete birth certificates and other necessary documents.

Responsibilities

The OB Technician performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to assist and support the organization and function of the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP).. The OB Tech is responsible for the preparation of and providing the surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments while maintaining sterile field during the case. The OB Tech will assist with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to both the mom and the newborn and assists in the maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Completes and processes birth certificates, and “Declaration of Paternity” forms as needed.
