Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Obstetrics/Gynecology department. The role is full-time with a 36-hour work week, day shifts, and on-call obligations. You will assist with obstetrical procedures, maintain sterile fields, and support patient care across the unit.

Qualifications

• Licensure as Nurse Aide in good standing in the practice state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced training beyond high school in a Nursing Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with obstetrical procedures including cesarean, vaginal deliveries and related surgeries.
• Scrub for obstetric procedures and maintain sterile field and instrument flow.
• Assist with delivery procedures and prepare the area per provider preference.
• Support direct patient care activities and safety needs.
• Serve as a training resource for technicians and RN staff.
• Maintain sterile supplies, equipment, and readiness for emergencies.
