Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a Surgical Technician I OB to assist in the operating room under the supervision of experienced staff and RN preceptors. This entry-level role emphasizes learning the standards of practice, maintaining a sterile field, and supporting patient safety and high-quality care in a dynamic obstetric surgical setting.

You will participate in case preparation, equipment setup, and intra-operative support while developing specialty skills under supervision, with opportunities

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supports establishment of sterile fields and case setup.
• Assists with case turnover and instrument management.
• Acknowledges and corrects sterile technique infractions.
• Assists with patient positioning and provider support.
• Orients new staff to Surgical Technician responsibilities.
• Performs duties under RN supervision and contributes to safe patient care.
