Job summary

Billings Clinic is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the LDRP unit at our Main Campus in Billings, MT. The role supports Labor & Delivery teams, maintains sterile technique, and assists during obstetric procedures and deliveries.

Starting wage is DOE, with day/evening/night shifts and a full-time (.75 or greater) schedule. Requirements include graduation from an accredited surgical technology program and LCC-ST certification preferred; two years of OB tech experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent, required.
• Two years of experience as an Obstetrical Technician, preferred.
• Certification by Liaison Council for Surgical Technologist (LCC-ST) desired.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to assume responsibility and accountability as a surgical and obstetric support person under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Assist the Labor & Delivery team in the care of patients, equipment and supplies.
• Appropriately utilizes aseptic techniques.
• Scrubs for cases according to established standards of sterile procedure.
• Pass instruments, sponges, sutures and other sterile supplies and equipment to surgeons and assist during procedures/deliveries as directed by the surgeon/provider.
• Completes counts accurately: instruments, sponges and sharps for all surgeries and procedures on the LDRP.
• Identifies needs and sets goals for own personal growth and development.
