Logan Health Whitefish Birth Center in Whitefish, MT seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the Labor & Delivery team during peri-operative obstetric procedures. You will prepare OB instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate across OB/GYN, nursing, and anesthesia teams.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, calm performance in emergent situations, and involvement in counts, specimen handling, and post-op support.

Competenze

• 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist or AST certification.
• AHA BLS Certification (or must be obtained within 2 months of hire).
• Experience in obstetric or women’s health surgical settings (preferred).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to remain calm in emergent situations.
• Professional, compassionate approach to patient care – especially during childbirth and postpartum.

Mansioni

• Prepare OB-specific surgical instruments and equipment for cesarean sections and obstetric procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and assist the team in providing efficient and safe care.
• Maintain a sterile field and follow aseptic technique.
• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other team members to deliver patient-centered care.
• Assist in patient transfer and post-op care with professionalism and compassion.
• Participate in surgical counts and assist with specimen handling.
• Ensure a safe environment by maintaining sterile field and equipment.
