Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support obstetrical operations in the Labor and Delivery unit. You will prepare instruments, maintain a sterile field, and assist the surgeon under RN supervision to ensure patient safety.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Technologist training program, a HS diploma or GED, and BCLS certification at hire, with additional neonatal resuscitation experience preferred. Previous OR experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during obstetrical operations in the Operating Room of the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and maintains the sterile field.
• Performs patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.
