Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking an Obstetric Surgical Technologist to join a dedicated team delivering newborn care with the highest standards. You will prepare the surgical suite, assist during obstetric procedures, and support the team to ensure compassionate, patient-centered care.

The role offers on-site work with access to training and mentorship, on-call support, and clear pathways for growth in obstetric surgery, contributing to families' well-being

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of start date.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in obstetric surgical settings or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies for safe, efficient procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Provide instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field, perform counts, and ensure instruments and equipment function properly.
• Work closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
• Providing instruments, equipment, and hands‑on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
• Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
• Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient‑centered care and a seamless surgical experience

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
