Job summary

Springhill Hospitals Inc in Mobile, AL is seeking an OB Scrub Tech to assist in vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections and obstetrical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities include preparing OR/LDR suites with required equipment, maintaining supplies, and supporting the RN in patient care in the obstetrical setting. High school/GED and Surgical Technology AS or LPN preferred. This is an on-site, full-time role requiring pre-employment drug screening.

Qualifications

Description

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs scrubbing functions for vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, emergent hysterectomies, postpartum tubal ligation. This position is accountable for preparing the OR/LDR suites with the required equipment to perform the specific surgical procedure is accordance to the applicable policies, regulations, and professional standards practiced at Springhill Medical. Maintains and orders supplies for the LDRs, surgical suites, triage, and nursery. Provides and supports the RN in the delivery of patient care & in the obstetrical setting.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Education Requirements:

• High school Graduate/GED
• Associate of Applied Science - Surgical Technology ORLPN preferred
