Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Part-Time Manager of Patient Care Services for the OB Department to oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality, compassionate, and efficient maternal care, and support a busy clinical team.

You will lead and develop staff, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing with a minimum of 3 years nursing-related experience.
• Associate’s degree with 5 years of nursing-related experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in Michigan.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operational responsibility for nursing and health care services on the unit.
• Promotes positive relationships with physicians, patients, families, visitors and employees; follows up on complaints and provides feedback.
• Monitors patient, staff and physician satisfaction and collaborates with staff across disciplines.
• Ensures staff participation in orientation, mandatory and continuing education programs and staff development opportunities.
• Plans unit conferences, educational endeavors, and in-service meetings for staff.
• Ensures quality and appropriateness of care is maintained and action plans are developed and implemented.
• Evaluates the quality of nursing care using objective measurement tools and ensures appropriate delegation and supervision of patient care.
• Assists with budgeting for patient care services and capital needs and staff HR management.
