Job summary

Mercy Health's St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Obstetrics (OB) to work night shifts with a 24-hour weekly schedule. The RN will assess patient status, prioritize needs, and implement care plans for obstetric and neonatal care across pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and related health issues.

The role requires a nursing license, ADN or BSN, and BLS. ACLS and NRP are preferred. Experience in OB/ED/CC is desirable; EPIC EHR training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support is preferred; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS; NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status.
• Determining the priority of the patient's problems and needs.
• Implementing nursing interventions for acute obstetric patients and neonatal care.
• Developing care plans to enhance outcomes and ensure a safe environment.
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team on woman- and family-centered care.
