Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for the 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM). You will lead a team to support daily facilities operations, coordinate staffing with the Supervisor, and act as back-up in their absence. Emphasis on morale, safety, and production efficiency per shift goals.

You will drive timely communication, delegate at a high level across multiple projects, and mentor technicians to meet aggressive warehouse standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience leading a team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and safety awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team to support day-to-day facilities operations.
• Coordinates staffing with the Supervisor and acts as back-up.
• Provides feedback, recognition, and rewards to team members.
• Conducts shift-start meetings and communicates updates to staff.
• Ensures timely information flow to department leaders.
• Prioritizes repairs to keep production at peak levels.

Your Role on Our Team:

• Leads a team to support the day-to-day operations and activities of the facilities effectively and efficiently.
• Works with Supervisor to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Serves as a back-up in the absence of the Supervisor.
• Candid: Fosters a high degree of morale among associates, including providing feedback, recognition, and rewards.
• Help Conduct or delegate shift start-up meetings; communicates information related to culture, safety, production, accuracy, recognition, and facility/HR updates to keep team members informed.
• Speed, Agility, Urgency: Provides timely, ongoing communication ensuring the appropriate dissemination of information to department leaders.
• Prioritizes repairs needed to keep the facility at peak production.
• Always Improving: Identifies measures that can improve various warehouse processes.
• Develops all technicians to become a valuable part of the team to ensure their skills are at par with warehouse standards and regulations.
• Maintains and enforces a clean and safe working environment.
• Drives safety and culture and holds team members accountable for compliance.
• One Team Mentality: Act as the go to person for a cohesive team of technicians that are committed to the success of the department.
• Communicate and support the other departments by support in their successes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
