Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM) to support a safe, productive facility in Byhalia, MS. You will lead a maintenance team and drive repairs to keep production at peak performance, while promoting safety and teamwork across departments.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on maintenance, and collaboration with supervisors to ensure staffing and operational goals are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Approximately 1.5 years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to lead a maintenance team and communicate effectively.
• Safety-minded with a focus on workplace culture and standards.

Responsibilities

• Leads a maintenance team to support day-to-day facilities operations efficiently.
• Coordinates with the Supervisor to ensure appropriate staffing; acts as backup as needed.
• Fosters a positive morale through feedback, recognition, and rewards.
• Conducts or leads shift-start meetings; communicates culture, safety, production, and HR updates.
• Ensures timely communication to department leaders and disseminates information.
• Prioritizes repairs to keep production at peak levels.
• Identifies process improvements for warehouse activities.
• Develops technicians to meet warehouse standards and regulations.
• Maintains a clean, safe working environment and enforces safety culture.
• Acts as go-to person for a cohesive team of technicians.
• Supports other departments to aid their success.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Role on Our Team:

As part of the Maintenance team, you'll help create and maintain a safe and productive environment that ensure the successes that our employees and customers have grown to expect.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

• Leads a team to support the day-to-day operations and activities of the facilities effectively and efficiently.
• Works with Supervisor to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Serves as a back-up in the absence of the Supervisor. Candid:
• Fosters a high degree of morale among associates, including providing feedback, recognition, and rewards.
• Help Conduct or delegate shift start-up meetings; communicates information related to culture, safety, production, accuracy, recognition, and facility/HR updates to keep team members informed.
• Provides timely, ongoing communication ensuring the appropriate dissemination of information to department leaders.
• Prioritizes repairs needed to keep the facility at peak production.
• Identifies measures that can improve various warehouse processes.
• Develops all technicians to become a valuable part of the team to ensure their skills are at par with warehouse standards and regulations.
• Maintains and enforces a clean and safe working environment.
• Drives safety and culture and holds team members accountable for compliance.
• Act as the go to person for a cohesive team of technicians that are committed to the success of the department.
• Communicate and support the other departments by support in their successes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
