Job summary

IU Health North and West Hospital is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified OB Laborist to join our Labor & Delivery team. You will provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care across Labor & Delivery, Antepartum and Postpartum units while collaborating with CNMs, midwives, and a collegial medical staff.

The role offers a mix of shifts, with 12-hour days and nights and an option to structure 24-hour shifts, plus opportunities for teaching medical students and participating in a supportive

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Eligible for Indiana medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care on Labor & Delivery, Antepartum and Postpartum units.
• Serve as operative backup for CNMs including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies with a well-equipped team.
• Support midwives and participate in teaching opportunities with rotating medical students.
