Job summary

The Ohio hospital is seeking a full-time OB Laborist to provide 24 hours of on-site obstetric care on a 7 on 7 off schedule. The role involves managing admissions, deliveries, triage, and inpatient obstetric care.

The Laborist will document progress notes, promote patient satisfaction, and support a culture of safety while collaborating with the obstetric team and maternal-fetal medicine as part of the Premier Physician Network. The OB Laborist will be a visible face of the obstetrical unit.

Qualifications

• The OB Laborist will manage all inpatients and triage patients, including documentation by writing progress notes at appropriate time intervals.
• The Laborist will promote patient satisfaction, support a culture of safety and meet behavioural expectations to create an environment conducive to mutual respect and learning.

Responsibilities

• Acting attending on call during the designated timeframe.
• Manage patient care from OB admission to delivery and inpatient care.
• Respond to emergencies including caesarean sections when needed for other providers.
• Document H&P, obtain consent, and stabilize OB patients including in ED.
