Job summary
Cibola General Hospital in Grants, NM seeks a Registered Nurse with OB/L&D experience to join our team in a 25-bed critical access facility. You will deliver comprehensive obstetric nursing care, support patient teaching, and coordinate with the care team in antepartum, labor, delivery, and post-partum stages.
Required NM RN license, BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred and NRP/fetal monitoring training within specified timelines.
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico RN license or compact state RN license.
- Current BLS CPR certification.
- ACLS and PALS preferred.
- NRP certification within 9 months.
- Completion of fetal monitoring course within 6 months.
- NRP and fetal monitoring must remain current following initial acquisition.
- Adequately assess/care for antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum care.
- Competency with newborn assessment and care.
- Competency with sterile technique and ability to operate in sterile field.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care using nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Direct and guide patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
- Maintain standards of professional nursing and adhere to Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
