Job summary

Heart of Ohio Family Health is seeking an OB Intake Nurse (LPN) to perform intake visits for pregnant patients, gather health history, educate on prenatal care, and schedule follow-ups. The role includes lab ordering per protocol and assisting with other nursing tasks as time permits.

We require an Ohio LPN license and an Associates Degree in Nursing; immunization experience is preferred and the candidate must work well in a team and follow clinic policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Ohio LPN license.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Vaccination/immunization experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local health care laws and safety regulations.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow established policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete OB intake visits and collect patient history for the provider.
• Educate patients on prenatal care expectations and provide materials.
• Manage paperwork entering the clinic and assist with triage.
• Call patients with abnormal lab results and relay information.
• Assist with training of new Medical Assistants and maintain privacy regulations.
• Perform routine nursing duties such as immunizations, vitals, and rooming patients.
• Assist Lead LPN with maintaining clinical supplies at the site.
