Community Health Systems, Inc. in Las Cruces, NM seeks an Ultrasound Technologist (PRN) to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in the OBGYN department.

You will ensure correct ordering, verify patient identity, and follow imaging protocols for accurate results. Responsibilities include independent ultrasound procedures, patient safety, precise documentation in EHR, and coordination with radiologists.

Formación

• 1–3 years of clinical ultrasound experience
• 2–4 years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred
• ARDMS or ARRT Sonography certification or registry eligible
• BCLS certification required

Responsabilidades

• Performs all ultrasound procedures independently, adhering to department protocols.
• Verifies patient identification and ensures procedures are ordered before imaging.
• Recognizes and documents pathologies during scanning for radiologist interpretation.
• Ensures patient care, safety and comfort during imaging.
• Maintains a clean, safe, organized work environment per safety guidelines.
• Operates ultrasound equipment following department policies and manufacturer guidelines.
• Documents imaging procedures and patient information in EHR; ensures scans are uploaded to PACS.
• Maintains imaging materials and coordinates inventory replenishment as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
