Job summary

Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, OR is seeking an Ultrasound Technician for per diem/day shift coverage. You will perform ultrasound examinations per physician orders, using diverse ultrasound equipment and accommodating patient-specific needs.

Required qualifications include ARDMS eligibility, Oregon Sonographer license (or temporary), and BLS certification. Prefer 2 years in diagnostic ultrasound and OB/GYN sonography experience.

Qualifications

• Ultrasound exams performed per physician orders with attention to patient needs.
• Board eligible for ARDS/ARDMS certification as required; obtain ARDMS within 6 months of hire.
• Oregon Sonographer or Oregon temporary license required on hire; BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations according to physicians' orders.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and accurately.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and privacy.
• Document findings and prepare preliminary reports for physicians.
