Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Sonography program.
• RDMS/ARDMS certification preferred; registry within 12 months if registry-eligible.
• ARRT Sonography registration acceptable if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Competent in the technical operations of all ultrasound equipment.
• Assess patients and confirm reason for exam with radiology orders.
• Document symptoms and history; obtain signed consent when needed.
• Prepare patients for procedures and communicate with supervising radiologist.
• Ensure timely RIS entry for exam start and end times.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.
• Support QA and education of students in the department.
• Participate in Performance Improvement Projects and other duties as assigned.
