Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking an Ultrasonographer for the OB/Gyn department in a part-time role. The position requires performing diagnostic ultrasound and assisting in biopsy and localization procedures with attention to diagnostic quality.

The ideal candidate will hold ARDMS certification (OB/Gyn or Abdominal) or have equivalent experience, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in OB/Gyn or Abdominal, or 5 years of ultrasound experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work under pressure.
• Proficient with computer systems used for imaging and patient data management.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for obstetrical, abdominal and vascular exams.
• Assist physicians in biopsy and localization procedures.
• Ensure diagnostic quality and appropriate patient positioning for each study.
• Use HIS/RIS/PACS to manage and distribute imaging data.
• Engage in patient education and safety activities.
