Job summary

Advocate Health’s OB/Gyn practice in High Point, NC seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to provide ultrasound imaging services. The role supports a busy OB/Gyn department with a standard 40-hour week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

The candidate must hold ARDMS/ARRT certification or be eligible, possess BLS, and have completed a diagnostic ultrasound program. A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Certification in diagnostic medical sonography or ARRT/ARDMS preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of a comprehensive ultrasound program required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders for assigned patients.
• Assist Radiologist in performing invasive procedures.
• Evaluate exam quality and adapt techniques for efficiency.
• Support Patient-Centered Care by treating patients with empathy.
• Report equipment issues to supervisors and engineers.
• Operate radiology computer systems to enter and charge exams.
