Job summary

Merit Health in Jackson, MS is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will coordinate, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with physicians and the health team.

You will administer medications, monitor patient status, participate in emergency response, and educate patients and families. A current RN license and BCLS/ACLS/PALS as appropriate are required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately; reports changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions when needed.
• Educates patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care.
