Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across assigned clinical areas and to lead on the unit under supervision. Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved professional registered nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• 6+ months of experience in a clinical area or 1 year of KSC experience with approval from Sr Dir Nursing Services.
• Computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Review doctor's schedule, abstract as needed, print patient documents and prepare for visits.
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and advocate for quality patient care.
• Administer medications following the seven rights and document patient response.
• Perform CPR and participate in emergency response activities.
• Maintain logs, ensure HIPAA compliance, and manage QA and regulatory tasks.
• Assist with immunization administration and patient education plans.
