Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA seeks a Vice Chair for Quality and Safety in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to lead QI and safety initiatives across inpatient and ambulatory care. The role reports to the Site Chief and indirectly to the System Chief to optimize the department's QI/SA activities for BMC Brighton and BMC South.

It provides leadership, strategic direction, and partnership with the Administrative Director to oversee QI efforts, with 20% protected time.

Qualifications

• Must possess an MD/DO or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certified in OB/GYN.
• Minimum of 5 years of quality and safety-related experience or adjacent work.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Massachusetts.
• Eligible for medical staff membership at BMC.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsabilités

• Develop quality initiatives and safety strategies aligned with hospital/system missions.
• Leverage data to identify QI priorities and opportunities.
• Lead chart reviews, case reviews, and debriefings to drive improvement.
• Present at department and hospital meetings; craft policies and change.
• Lead Morbidity & Mortality and quarterly QI updates for the department.
• Collaborate with site leadership to implement new processes and technology.
• Act as liaison for internal and external Q&S evaluation and regulatory reporting.
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement and equity work.
• Oversee credentialing and privileging processes including FPPE/OPPE.
