Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Professional Fee Coder to support a high-volume academic medical center and Level I Trauma environment. This coder will be responsible for accurate professional-fee coding across OB/GYN services with complex patient populations and surgical cases.

Responsibilities include coding OB/GYN, MFM, urogynecology, and gender-affirming care; assigning CPT and ICD-10-CM codes and modifiers; reviewing provider documentation; ensuring compliant reimbursement;

Qualifications

• Prior OB/GYN professional-fee coding experience required.
• Experience coding in an academic medical center or similarly complex healthcare environment strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with OB/GYN surgeries and procedural coding.

Responsibilities

• Code professional services for OB/GYN, MFM, urogynecology, and gender-affirming care.
• Code surgical and procedural encounters, in addition to clinic-based services.
• Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and modifier coding based on provider documentation.
• Review documentation from physicians, residents, and midwives within an academic medical environment.
• Ensure coding supports appropriate reimbursement and complies with applicable coding guidelines.
• Work through complex encounters involving multiple providers, services, and levels of care.
