Cumberland Family Medical Center (CFMC) is seeking an OB/GYN physician to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for women at multiple sites in Kentucky. The role emphasizes patient-centered, evidence-based care with opportunities to impact women's health across life stages.

The physician will collaborate with clinical staff, perform a range of exams and procedures, and contribute to a compassionate, service-driven team focused on excellence and productivity.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an obstetrics and gynecology residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Active and unrestricted Kentucky medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Current DEA registration and Kentucky Controlled Substance License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience working with underserved populations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient obstetrics and gynecology services at assigned clinics.
• Provide inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services, including delivery and related procedures.
• Perform pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.
• Diagnose and treat women's health conditions.
• Educate patients and coordinate care with staff.

This role includes preventive care, routine and high-risk obstetric management as appropriate, gynecological evaluations, diagnosis and treatment of women's health conditions, and patient education. The physician works collaboratively with clinical staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, evidence-based, and individualized care while building lasting relationships with patients and supporting their overall health and well-being.Job Functions/Responsibilities:Provides outpatient obstetrics and gynecology services thought assigned clinic locations.Provides inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services, including infant delivery and related surgical procedures, at partner hospitals.Performing a wide range of tests, including pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams.Diagnosing and prescribed treatments for disorders and diseases.Conducting routine check-ups on patients.Monitoring and treating expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.Maintains the required productivity expectations for time spent in a clinic.Participates in administrative duties, including lab reports, charts, and medication refills reviewed and managed appropriately.Perform other duties as assigned or as needed.Experience:Working with underserved populations is highly desired.Certification through the Drug Enforcement Agency and valid licensure in the State of Kentucky are required.Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.Education:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency programBoard Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or equivalent)Active and unrestricted Kentucky medical license (or eligibility for licensure)Current DEA registration and Kentucky Controlled Substance LicenseCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationOther Skills:Must be able to secure credentialing through identified agencies (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).Effective oral and written communication skills required with a model motivating personality toward patients, colleagues, Medical Assistants, and other support staff.Experience with Electronic Health Records systems and keyboarding skills required and must be able to work some evenings and Saturdays.Compensation: Highly competitive and negotiable based on experienceBenefits: Health, Vision, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO, Holidays, Paid CME with stipend, free malpractice insurance coverage, student loan repayment opportunitiesSchedule Requirements are detailed in contract.Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.Disclaimer:All information provided is subject to the specific terms and conditions outlined in the employee’s individual contract.
