Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent OB/GYN Residency Program seeks a full-time, board-certified OB/GYN physician faculty member.

This 1.0 FTE role includes 0.8 clinical/resident supervision in ambulatory care and 0.2 OB hospitalist coverage in a teaching environment. You will work with residents at all levels and interact with learners from Family Medicine, APPs and medical students while providing OB/GYN care in outpatient and hospital settings.

Qualifications

• MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Board Certified OB/GYN.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate diagnostic and treatment skills; coordinate discharge planning.
• Engage in efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care.
• Accept referrals and act as admitting/attending/consulting physician as needed.
• Participate in academic programs (education and research).
• Complete necessary documentation to meet insurance requirements and appeal denials.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation, including on-call schedules.
