Ascension St. Vincent OB/GYN Residency Program in Indianapolis seeks a FULL TIME Board Certified OB/GYN Physician Faculty Member. The role combines ambulatory clinic supervision of residents with hospitalist coverage and academic activities.

Ascension St. Vincent OB/GYN Residency Program is seeking a FULL TIME Board Certified OB/GYN Physician Faculty Member. This is a great teaching opportunity in an immersive academic atmosphere within the OB/GYN residency program. This position is a 1.0 FTE, broken down accordingly; 0.8 FTE focuses primarily on PCC OB/GYN clinic work and resident supervision in the ambulatory setting, with some weekday coverage of the GYN hospital service included in this portion of the role. The remaining 0.2 FTE would provide OB Hospitalist coverage.

In this work, you will be joining others with a similar mission and vision. You will be working primarily with OB/GYN residents at various levels but will also encounter learners in every field from Family Medicine residents to APPs and Medical Students.
Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
Evaluate and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
