Job summary

UNLV Health in Las Vegas is seeking a Sonographer I for OB/GYN and Perinatal MFM to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment, perform routine to high-risk obstetric scans, and communicate results to clinicians. The role supports Maternal-Fetal Medicine with RN and OB/GYN teams in a busy outpatient/inpatient setting.

The candidate must have at least 1 year of sonography experience, ARDMS OB certification, and pursue additional fetal certification milestones within 5 years.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience as a sonographer or ultrasound tech
ARDMS OB certification required; licensure within 1 year of hire
Pursue FMF NT, CLEAR, FMF, and FE certifications within 5 years

Responsibilities

Verify patient identification and gather relevant info for scheduled exam
Explain procedures and address patient questions
Perform high-risk OB ultrasound exams and evaluate fetal anatomy
Generate and document ultrasound reports in the medical record
Maintain equipment QA and safe patient care practices
Ensure exam rooms and work areas are clean and safe
Participate in continuing education and department tasks
