Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced OB/GYN ultrasound technologist to perform comprehensive non-invasive, invasive and vascular studies. The role includes physiologic assessment, high-quality imaging, and documentation for diagnosis in high-risk OB/GYN patients.

You will assist in invasive procedures, ensure proper labeling and patient safety, and maintain professional patient interaction. ARDMS certification and fetal echo proficiency within 1 year are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of ultrasound.
• 2 years OB/GYN experience.
• Must become proficient in fetal echos within 1 year of hire date.
• ARDMS OB registration and related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive OB/GYN ultrasound procedures.
• Provide physiologic assessment of OB/GYN vasculature and fetal well-being.
• Independently generate technically optimal, complete and accurate diagnostic images.
• Assist physicians during invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villi sampling.
• Document patient history and study results in the relevant systems.
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely and label images with patient identifiers.
• Deliver patient care with professional demeanor and clear communication.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain ARDMS/Nuchal Translucency certification.
