Job summary

UNLV Health is seeking a Sonographer I to independently operate ultrasound equipment for OB/GYN and perinatal exams in a busy Las Vegas office. The role involves high-risk OB scans, communicating results, and coordinating with Maternal-Fetal Medicine teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

The position requires a minimum of one year of sonography experience, an accredited degree/certification, and ARDMS OB certification with licensure due within one year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech experience.
• Degree or Certification from an accredited Sonography program.
• ARDMS OB certification required; licensure within 1 year of hire.
• Pursue FMF NT, CLEAR, and FMF Fetal Echocardiography certifications within 5 years.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment for OB/GYN/MFM exams.
• Perform high-risk OB scans and evaluate for fetal anomalies.
• Generate reports and document patient data per policy.
• Collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine providers and nurses.
• Maintain patient safety and exam room readiness.
• Quality assurance and equipment maintenance tasks.
