Job summary

The University of Miami is seeking a Per Diem Staff Physician to join the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences. The attending will focus on obstetric patient care and inpatient L&D responsibilities at Jackson Holtz Women's & Children's Hospital, collaborating with UM/UHealth and Jackson Health Systems.

The role includes teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, developing comprehensive treatment plans, and ensuring confidentiality and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required
• Board certification in OB/GYN required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care as part of the Generalist Division.
• Deliver obstetric care with active clinical practice in L&D.
• Educate medical students, residents, and fellows in OB/GYN.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
• Perform thorough physical assessments and document findings.
• Prescribe medications and monitor clinical drug therapy.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies and quality assurance procedures.
• Cover inpatient L&D shifts as required, including 12-hour blocks.
• Utilize Cerner for documentation and MobileCharge for billing.
