Job summary

The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville seeks two OPS Health Care Physicians (Ob/Gyn) to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. BE/BC is preferred and candidates must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License.

Assignments include Labor and Delivery coverage, management of both low and high risk pregnancies, cesarean and vaginal deliveries, and supervision of residents; GYN consultations and possible resident clinic involvement.

Qualifications

• MD/DO in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• BE/BC is preferred.
• Full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide daytime and overnight Labor and Delivery coverage as primary provider with supervision of residents and medical students.
• Manage low- and high-risk obstetric cases including caesarean deliveries and post-operative care.
• Perform GYN consultations and emergency procedures with resident involvement.
• Possible involvement in resident clinics and minor procedures.
