Position Overview
Advanced Women’s Care is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Nocturnist to provide dedicated overnight coverage for our growing Glendale practice.
This position is designed for an OB/GYN who enjoys hospital-based obstetrics and acute care while seeking a predictable schedule without traditional daytime clinic responsibilities. The Nocturnist will provide 14-hour overnight coverage from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
The Nocturnist serves as an extension of the daytime OB/GYN team, providing continuity of care for established practice patients while managing urgent obstetric and gynecologic needs overnight. The Nocturnist will also work collaboratively with Practice Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), hospital-based OB/GYN Hospitalists, nursing, anesthesia, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and other members of the hospital care team.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a confident, collaborative OB/GYN who enjoys labor and delivery and hospital-based medicine and is comfortable independently managing acute obstetric and gynecologic conditions.
Physicians should value a team-based model of care and be comfortable working alongside Practice CNMs and hospital-based OB/GYN Hospitalists. The Nocturnist will serve as an important physician resource for the midwifery team, providing consultation and surgical or higher-acuity support when needed while respecting and supporting CNMs practicing within their full scope.
Strong communication, collegiality, clinical judgment, and thorough morning handoffs are essential to maintaining continuity between the CNM, Nocturnist, Hospitalist, and daytime physician teams.
