Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program.
• Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA, AMT-RMA).
• Minimum of one year experience as a Medical Assistant preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate and prepare patients for procedures, reviewing prep instructions and answering questions.
• Observe patient condition, report abnormal findings, and document in records.
• Measure height/weight and take pulse and blood pressure.
• Draw blood or finger sticks and obtain specimens as requested.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures, maintaining sterile field.
• Maintain stock for examination and blood drawing rooms and forms.
• Clerical and secretarial work as needed.
• Interact with patients and colleagues per service-excellence standards.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
