Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens is hiring a Technician Medical Surgical for OB/GYN Services in Queens. This full-time role supports clinicians and staff with clinical and clerical tasks in a busy outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has a formal Medical Assistant training program, MA certification (AAMA-CMA or AMT-RMA), and at least one year of MA experience, preferably in an outpatient environment. On-site work with daytime hours and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program.
• MA Certification (AAMA-CMA or AMT-RMA) required or preferred.
• Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience, outpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate and prepare patients for procedures and ensure understanding.
• Observe patient condition, report abnormalities, and document findings.
• Take and record height, weight, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Draw blood or collect specimens as requested.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and maintain sterile fields.
• Stock examination and blood drawing rooms and forms.
• Perform clerical and secretarial tasks as needed.
• Interact with patients and colleagues per service excellence standards.
• Perform other duties as required.
