Qualifications

• Formal Medical Assistant training program completed.
• Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA or AMT-RMA) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Educate and prepare patients for procedures, review instructions and ensure understanding.
• Observe patient condition, report abnormalities, document in records.
• Measure height/weight, take pulse and blood pressure.
• Draw blood or perform finger sticks and obtain specimens as needed.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures while maintaining sterile field.
• Maintain stock for examination and drawing rooms, forms, etc.
• Perform clerical/secretarial duties as needed; interact with patients and colleagues.
