We are a busy state-of-the-art OBGYN group seeking a Full-time with benefits Front Desk Receptionist with the following skills:
· Great patient service skills
· Efficient and multitask
· Ability to answer multiple phone lines
· Knowledge of common conditions and medications
· Able to recognize emergencies
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Knowledge in interpreting an explanation of benefits to patients and collecting patient payments.
· Prior authorization of medications, diagnostic procedures, and referrals.
· Experienced in Electronic Medical Records
In addition to the above, the applicant is expected to be a team player that is interested in establishing a life-long career.
Job responsibilities:
· Scheduling coordination
· Answering phones and returning messages
· Check-in and Check-out
· Explaining patient balance and collecting payments
· Obtain authorizations from insurance for referrals and diagnostic procedures
· Complete forms and write patient letters
· Request and transfer medical records
Minimum Requirements:
· Certification or associate degree
· 2- 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting
· Professional appearance and friendly personality
· Willingness to learn and be a team player
· Should participate in continuing education programs.
· Should be proficient, efficient, and multitask, should be able to work under pressure.
· Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations
