Job summary

Women’s Care in Brandon, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical care for patients during office visits and assist providers with procedures. You will prepare patients for examinations and help with testing, while ensuring a safe and courteous environment.

You will record medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints, perform phlebotomy and injections as directed, and sterilize rooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Florida MA certification preferred or able to obtain within 120 days of employment.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care is a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and data entry in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment/procedures.
• Record medical history, vital signs, and chief complaint.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections and other specimen collection as directed.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain exam, procedure, and lab areas.
• relay messages and coordinate with front office with professionalism.
