Advocate Medical Group (AMG) is part of Advocate Health, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health systems. We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support OB/GYN/Urogynecology care, with 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, in Chicago, IL.

The role emphasizes clinical and administrative tasks and patient-centered care. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a Medical Assistant diploma or 2+ years MA experience (or certified MA with 2+ years).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
• Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred.
• OB/GYN experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
