Job summary

Women’s Care in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical care during patient visits, prepare patients for examinations, assist providers during procedures, and support families before and after visits.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, MA certification (or ability to obtain in 120 days), CPR/BLS, and EMR experience (preferably eCW). Experience in OB/GYN or primary care is a plus, with a commitment to HIPAA and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred, or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Graduate of nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or Armed Forces Medical Technician with honorable discharge.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days via Women's Care training.
• Experience in OBGYN or Primary Care a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with EMR, preferably eCW.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist during treatment/procedures and testing.
• Restock and sterilize exam rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and all patient care areas.
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
• Measure, record, and document vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and injections as directed by the provider when applicable.
• Educate patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional office environment.
• Attend required meetings and participate in team activities.
