Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Assistant I for the Cornelius area in the Obstetrics/Gynecology department. The role covers rooming patients, collecting vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health screenings under physician supervision.

The position requires completing an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience and an ability to work rotating shifts. Benefits eligible with sign-on if eligible.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Ability to perform routine medical assistant duties with competency.

Mansioni

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies and procedures.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, medication reconciliation, history, health maintenance, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely following medication rights.
• Handles other duties such as refills, authorizations, scheduling and referrals.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and communicates effectively with team.
• May assist with training onboarding of teammates.
