Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by an approved body.
• Current BLS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examinations, taking vitals and recording history.
• Cleans exam rooms and prepares equipment; collects lab specimens.
• Assists physicians and staff; orders and verifies specimen tests.
• Handles patient registration, scheduling, and EMR documentation.
• Performs injections and point-of-care testing per policy.
• Monitors NJPMP as required; maintains patient records and paperwork.
• Cross-trains to support front desk duties as needed.
• Maintains supplies and equipment; ensures clean, organized workflow.
