Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Med Assistant II for the Gastroenterology team in Bordentown, NJ. This full-time role supports patient prep, vitals, specimen collection and clerical tasks in a busy specialty clinic.

Responsibilities include exam prep, room setup, injections as needed, and EMR documentation. Candidates should have a medical assisting credential, NJ PMP awareness is a plus, and BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with medical assisting program.
• Maintain current certification from recognized medical assisting bodies.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance basics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams, take vitals, and review history.
• Clean exam rooms, prepare specimens, and assist physicians.
• Conduct EKGs and point-of-care tests per policy.
• Handle patient registration, appointments, and medical records.
