Job summary

Bronson OB/GYN & Midwifery in Kalamazoo is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support providers with routine nursing functions, charting, and patient education. Responsibilities include vitals, histories, and coordinating tests and referrals, with emphasis on confidentiality and teamwork.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or eligibility within 6 months, and BLS within 90 days. EMR proficiency and strong communication are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or eligibility to take CMA/RMA within 6 months.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• EMR experience highly desirable; strong data entry and charting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and immunizations, obtain patient history and assist with exams.
• Prepare patients for examinations and document information in the chart.
• Administer treatments and collect specimens as directed by physician.
• Schedule outside tests and coordinate referrals; assist with procedures.
• Maintain inventory and assist with day-to-day clinic operations.
