Job summary

Bronson Internal Medicine – Kalamazoo is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a compassionate, patient-centered team. You will perform general nursing tasks under a provider's direction, record vital signs, histories, and administer routine testing while maintaining accurate chart documentation in the EMR system.

The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and CMA/CCMA/RMA certification (or eligibility to obtain CMA/RMA within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• CMA/CCMA/RMA certification.
• Eligibility to take CMA/RMA within 6 months of hire.
• Vocational Coordinator determines CMA or RMA eligibility within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Knowledge of clinical skills as required with Medical Assistant Certification/Registration.
• Effective problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and confidentiality handling.
• Communicate clearly with patients, doctors and staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and input data into EMR.
