Job summary

Almara Women's Health | Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, on-site role. The position runs 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional Saturday morning shifts at Maple Grove location.

The candidate will support OB/GYN services across life stages, perform vital signs, venipuncture, in-house testing, and assist physicians. Certification and X-ray scope are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program or MLT program.
• AAMA or AMT certification; willing to become certified if not currently certified.
• 1+ years’ Medical Assistant experience in a clinic setting.
• X-ray license or willing to obtain limited scope x-ray license (preferred).
• Willing to train Medical Assistant that has completed externship.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing the patient, recording history, confirming visit purpose.
• Measure vital signs and document in chart.
• Obtain blood specimens by venipuncture and finger sticks.
• Perform in-house testing (UA, Hemoglobin, glucose tests).
• Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms.
• Give instructions to patients as directed by clinician.
